About Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Test
The ESR test measures the rate at which red blood cells sediment in a tube over one hour. Increased sedimentation rates indicate systemic inflammation, which is seen in infections, autoimmune conditions, and inflammatory joint disorders.

Test Preparation & Instructions
Fasting & Dietary Rules: No fasting required.

Hydration: Drink normal amounts of water before the test. Staying hydrated helps the phlebotomist locate veins easily, ensuring a painless draw.
