About Iron Profile Test
The Iron Profile test checks the amount of iron in your blood to diagnose iron-deficiency anemia or iron overload (hemochromatosis). It measures Serum Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC), Transferrin Saturation, and Ferritin (stored iron).

Test Preparation & Instructions
Fasting & Dietary Rules: 10-12 hours fasting is recommended. Morning sample is ideal.
Medication advice: If you are taking any regular medication, please check with your doctor whether to take it before the sample extraction. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking 24 hours prior to the test.
Hydration: Drink normal amounts of water before the test. Staying hydrated helps the phlebotomist locate veins easily, ensuring a painless draw.
