About Kidney Function Test (KFT)
Kidney Function Test (KFT), also called Renal Function Test (RFT), checks how well your kidneys are filtering metabolic wastes. It measures Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Serum Creatinine, Uric Acid, Calcium, Phosphorus, and essential electrolytes like Sodium and Potassium.

Test Preparation & Instructions
Fasting & Dietary Rules: Fasting not mandatory, but avoid eating high-protein meals right before the test.
Medication advice: If you are taking any regular medication, please check with your doctor whether to take it before the sample extraction. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking 24 hours prior to the test.
Hydration: Drink normal amounts of water before the test. Staying hydrated helps the phlebotomist locate veins easily, ensuring a painless draw.
