About Lipid Profile Test
A Lipid Profile is a panel of blood tests used to find abnormalities in lipids (fats), such as cholesterol and triglycerides. It measures Total Cholesterol, LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), VLDL, and Triglycerides, highlighting your risk for cardiovascular conditions.

Test Preparation & Instructions
Fasting & Dietary Rules: 10-12 hours of strict overnight fasting is mandatory. Water is permitted.
Medication advice: If you are taking any regular medication, please check with your doctor whether to take it before the sample extraction. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking 24 hours prior to the test.
Hydration: Drink normal amounts of water before the test. Staying hydrated helps the phlebotomist locate veins easily, ensuring a painless draw.
