A Liver Function Test (LFT) measures enzymes, proteins, and bilirubin levels in the blood. It helps evaluate hepatic metabolism, screens for infections like hepatitis, checks for alcohol-induced damage, and monitors side-effects of liver-metabolized medications.

- •Total Protein, Albumin & Globulin
Test Preparation & Instructions
Fasting & Dietary Rules: 8-10 hours fasting recommended but not mandatory.
Medication advice: If you are taking any regular medication, please check with your doctor whether to take it before the sample extraction. Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking 24 hours prior to the test.
Hydration: Drink normal amounts of water before the test. Staying hydrated helps the phlebotomist locate veins easily, ensuring a painless draw.
